Good morning! It's cold here today in London.

Maddy, congrats on the diet - you are very disciplined!

Carolyn, I think you will love the Roja Dove. His scents are just beautiful.

I was sorting out some of my samples and decants yesterday and discovered I hadn't tried my vintage Quadrille yet, so decided to slosh some on today! Rather fabulous. It is such a shame that these Balenciagas are no longer.

Hope everyone has a very good day today and sending you my love xxxxxx

Happy Post-Football Extravaganza, we survived.
Jim -- what happened with the Tudor, I read no more updates, and I've been waiting and looking.

Today -- Chanel #22.

Yes, Carolyn all non-football attendees were in the Piano Room. I played, they sang -- music from Carousel, King & I, West Side Story, Sound of Music, Camelot, Cats, South Pacific -- you name it. And we were extraordinarily happy, and felt happy in our hearts. It was a nice easy Sunday for sure.

Now I'm head-snapped into reality and slowly prodding my way through mountains of copy.

Dorothy -- what an ordeal with the snow, we've been watching this on the news, gee--you've had the winter for sure.

Anyway, nice weekend all around.

Eileen

Eileen,

Sounds like a wonderful Sunday was shared by everyone not glued to the TV set for the Superbowl. I rooted for the Saints during the last 5 minutes of the game (while eating dinner) pretty much just to annoy my dad who's an Indianapolis fan.

Wearing 10 Corso Como EDP this morning. All I got was initial pow of licorice and now...just a couple of minutes later...just faint whiffs. Carolyn

Exclamation Scent of the day

It is Angel ... and I love to feel angelic.

To start, a word of caution. This perfume can easily be misused. It is quite exquisite and evokes memories of delicious things to eat; but, within its luminous bouquet there is a pointed note that can turn heads, either towards you asking, "What are you wearing?" or, with some dismay, "What is THIS?" when the wearer used too much. Sometimes, I myself did not leave to join the public and had to shower it off.

Now I have learned to carefully use the Angel line. A mere little spritz to the throat, for a movie night on Sundays, is enough, and during the session only I, and not the whole audience, can smell it.

Today is my Angel day. I did not have the shower gel and was not sure which soap to use to start with. Simply, very hot water had to do. Reaching for Angel body lotion next, I remembered to be careful. Using it freely to obtain the usual moisterizing effect would have resulted in a clinging, overpowering scent that I do not want to worry about the whole day. So, using a Q-tip instead, I applied the strongly scented body lotion very sparingly ...

And now, a slight and refreshing scent will accompagny me during the day, for a beautiful experience, should I say, uplifting ...

Have a good day.

Ursula

Hello Everyone,

I'm still trying to wake up. ......... So, its instant coffee by Bustelo for me. I am a huge Bustelo fan!

I hope everyone had a great Sunday. I had to work yesterday but there are 2 big television screens at work. I could not get the Sports channel!!!! I'm not a football fan, but I was trying to help those that were.... Trying to be the "Cool Supervisor"! LOL!

Ursula: I was an Angel fanatic many years ago. I wore the body spray oil, the edt, I even had the body powder (gave that away as I hardly used it.) I also had my star bottle monogrammed with my name on it. I think Angel is a great scent but yes, it can be misused. If you have the parfum, a little will do. I also think there was a time when Angel was extremely popular and quite a few women were wearing it. I think I'll be your scent twin today and wear what's left in my bottle which is just a few spritzfuls...

So, my SOTD will be Angel by Thierry Mugler.

I also received from a kind co worker a small tiny bottle of Y parfum by YSL. Whoa! Where have I been? I really like this one.. But I would definitely want a full bottle of the parfum, not the edt.

Cheers!

Good Evening and Good Night. I am late to post today.
Habanita body lotion and parfum for sleeping tonight. So rich, so sexy, so divine.
Michael is talking of wanting to go to Spain, no wonder I want to wear Habanita tonight.
xoxoxo

Good morning all from a very cold London. We even had sleet showers yesterday with more forecast for today. Ugh.

Habanita is wonderful, Doro. Spain, eh? Not a country we visit as it is very difficult for vegetarians!

Jack is off teaching today and tomorrow so I need to get some serious work done. I'm wearing Etro's Pegaso which was a present from a kind perfumista friend - it is lovely. I'm very fond of the whole Etro range, actually.

Have a good day everyone and love to you all xxxxxx

Good Morning All!

I have been busy doing very housewifely things like organizing the avalanche under the sink, the utility closet straightening, weeding out ratty clothes - maybe nervous energy or maybe guilty conscience!

Sounds as if the perfume, wine and chocolates event went well and was beautiful too - thanks Eileen for the capsule story!

Our water pump on the well went out yesterday; a real downside to country living! The repairman got here quickly but left our purse considerably lighter than when he arrived - no perfume purchasing for a while, for sure......

Manuela's Mexican Leather is very good - recommended here too! I bet dear Mani has been working her tuckus off trying to get the shop off the ground, I know she has been excited! And I am excited for her, too....

SOTD is Sonia Rykiel Woman. I have a therapists' appointment at 2 and (thankfully!) some labwork for this morning so need to run and get ready as I hit the snooze button 3 times!

Hugs to all,

Carole
