Another example of the Estee Lauder fragrance line’s quality and value, Azuree was launched in 1969. The top is a sharp green/herbal/citrus hit. On me, after dry-down the long-lasting middle is suede (which I love). At the very end of the day, the remains are nut-like. It is not at all sweet, flowery or gourmand, and definitely not for everyone – it probably falls in the love-it-or-hate-it category. However, this is the fragrance that taught me how much I loved leather. It has excellent staying power - a little goes a long way and will last all day. This would make a great masculine. It’s too bad more people don’t know about this oldie but goodie, but Azuree is still around and still available in stores – you just have to ask. Or, easier still, go directly to the Lauder website and order it online. But definitely try before you buy, it’s a challenging scent.
