ART OF PERFUME: GOD SAVE THE QUEEN-A RIOT OF PUNK PERFUME
Saturday June 8th 2:00-5:00pm
Join House of Cherry Bomb perfumers as we create and deconstruct scent
while listening to the anarchistic cries of punk musicians in God Save the
Queen-A Riot of Punk Perfume class. Notes such as clove cigarette, gasoline
and jellybean, challenge our perception of olfactory beauty; just as wailing
guitars and wailing voices challenged pop music culture through microphones
buzzing with noise, and mosh pit -jumping crowds clad in the deconstructed
threads of Vivienne Westwood and the like. We will explore the work of punk
musicians, designers and artists as we challenge conventional fragrance to
the sounds of the Sex Pistols, The Dammed, Buzzcocks and NY Dolls.
Class fee-$75. Material fee: $25.
