What more perfect way to spend the day after a snowstorm than being surrounded by amazing smells, exquisitely-packaged luxury bath and body products, scrumptious baked delicacies, bubbly champagne, exotic Kusmi Tea and lively conversation?
Last Sunday, fragrance enthusiasts gathered for Sniffapalooza’s Holiday Fete with Molton Brown at the sparkling new flagship store on Madison Avenue near 59th St. The event celebrated the unveiling of the new shop, and also offered a Master Class look into the history and legacy of this cult-favorite brand which just celebrated its 40th anniversary!
Danny Artese, Shari Ajayi and the dedicated and energetic Molton Brown team gave a comprehensive overview of the brand, putting special focus on the Navigations Through Scent fine fragrance line, which is inspired by countries on the Spice Trail.
Guests were invited to sniff, test, sample and play with Molton Brown’s vast range of fragranced body, bath and lifestyle offerings. Cleverly-designed stainless steel sinks are stationed so one can try any of the bath gels or hand soaps and scrubs, and sample jars were made on the spot of any product one wanted to try at home.
Popular bath blends were Black Pepper, Patchouli + Saffron, Coco + Sandalwood, Water Mint, Bracing Silverbirch, Myrrh, Muske + Cypress, Pink Pepperpod, and the new Frankincense + Allspice hand wash, which is particularly wonderful for the holidays.
A special-effect sheet of glimmering snow rhythmically streamed down in the front window, creating a perpetual Winter Wonderland as we gazed outside at the holiday traffic bustling by on the avenue. What a beautiful start to the week!
