Sometimes losing electricity frees you up for life’s more simple pleasures. Like flipping through Vogue’s September Issue, cover to cover, by flashlight beam. I glance at each of the 758 pages, noting the fashions, but more seriously hunting for scent strips.
With time to leisurely scan the pages, I start to notice that many of the new fragrance launches share a lovely shade of pink. Not a girly bubblegum pink, but a more sophisticated, ballet slipper pink.
A soft hue, with just a touch of golden coral. A champagne pink.
Not unlike the elastics and ribbons I’d sew on my daughters dance shoes – first her soft slippers, later her pointe shoes.
Thanks, Irene.
